Pensarn Cottage - In the Snowdonia National Park

Pensarn Cottage is situated on a hillside above Pensarn Harbour, 500 meteres off the main road where there is a bus stop and a train station for the Cambrian Coast Railway. We are located inside the Snowdonia National Park amongst a very scenic part of Wales. We're very close to the village of Llanbedr (approx. 1 mile) where there is a newspaper store, grovcers, off-licnec and several pubs and good eating places. It's either a 2 minute drive by car or a 15 minute walk down country lanes to the village.

Two miles north is Harlech with its famous Edwardian Castle perched high up on the town rock. There are also some small shops, cafes, a petrol station, post office and the Royal St Davids Golf Course. Harlech boasts miles of pristine sandy beach, a public swimming pool, and for evening entertainment; a theatre and cinema.

Leading from the farm is a path that takes you down to the embankments of the Artro Estuary from where you can walk to Llandanwg beach. Llandanwg is ideal for swimming and sun-bathing and is suitable for children. It's a mostly sandy beach with rock pools at either end, adults and children will be entertained for hours!

There are also numerous public footpaths leading all across the countryside. Many boast spectacular views of the surrounding area and for the most part are well sign posted and easy to follow.
